What does Lose Your Way Travel do?
We provide personalised travel planning, custom itineraries and destination guidance for independent travellers. We are an independent travel-planning brand, not a licensed travel agency, and we do not hold financial protection for bookings.
Which destinations do you cover?
Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Qatar. Each has its own destination guide with when to go, where to stay, things to do and suggested itineraries. More destinations are added as new regions are explored.
Do you book flights, hotels and tours directly?
No. Hotel, tour and activity bookings are completed through third-party providers, and their terms and cancellation policies apply. We provide planning, recommendations and referral links, some of which may be affiliate links.
Is there a fee for travel planning?
Submitting a trip-planning enquiry is free and creates no obligation. We will contact you to discuss your journey and any next steps before anything is arranged.
How do I start planning a trip?
Use the Plan Your Trip form to share your destination, dates, interests, budget and accommodation preferences. A member of our team will be in touch within two working days to start shaping your itinerary.
When is the best time to visit Southeast Asia?
For most of the region the cool, dry season from November to February is the most comfortable time to travel. Timing varies by country and coast, so check each destination guide for month-by-month advice.
Can you help with a Qatar stopover?
Yes. Qatar works well as a two-to-four-day stopover or short break. Our Qatar guide covers Doha, Souq Waqif, the Museum of Islamic Art and a desert safari to the Khor Al Adaid Inland Sea.
How far in advance should I plan?
For a Southeast Asia itinerary of two weeks or more, starting two to three months ahead usually gives the best choice of stays and transport. A Qatar stopover can often be planned in a few weeks. Share your dates and we will advise.
